👋 About Me
I discovered a passion for teaching at age fifty and my decision was reinforced after moving abroad in 2011. Since then, my experience includes teaching full-time at a kindergarten, working with an agency and training school tutoring elementary and middle school students and training at a Montessori school in Hangzhou later teaching this method in Chengdu and Dali. Through my Montessori experience, I gained a deeper appreciation for teaching standards. Although my university background is in architecture, I never considered teaching as a career. However, I have always understood the difference between a good teacher who instructs and a great teacher who inspires. I believe through my experiences, my goal has been to foster a genuine joy for learning and growth among both my students and teaching assistants alike. Respectfully yours, Richard Phillips
