What's in the Bag?
Children feel objects inside a bag and guess the vocabulary word.

âĒ A cloth bag or pillowcase
âĒ Small objects from the lesson vocabulary
ð How to Play
- Place 5-10 small objects in the bag â items related to your current vocabulary topic.
- Child comes to the front and puts their hand in the bag WITHOUT looking.
- They feel one object and try to guess what it is in English.
- If correct, they take the object out and show the class.
- Class repeats the word together.
- Child returns to seat. Next child has a turn.
- Play until all objects have been identified.

âUse real objects where possible â toy animals, plastic food, classroom items.
âIf children do not know the word, give them a clue in English.
âThis works brilliantly as a vocabulary review at the end of a lesson.
âLet shy children whisper the answer to you if they are nervous.
