🛠 Materials

A cloth bag or pillowcase
Small objects from the lesson vocabulary

📋 How to Play

  1. Place 5-10 small objects in the bag — items related to your current vocabulary topic.
  2. Child comes to the front and puts their hand in the bag WITHOUT looking.
  3. They feel one object and try to guess what it is in English.
  4. If correct, they take the object out and show the class.
  5. Class repeats the word together.
  6. Child returns to seat. Next child has a turn.
  7. Play until all objects have been identified.

💡 Teacher Tips

Use real objects where possible — toy animals, plastic food, classroom items.
If children do not know the word, give them a clue in English.
This works brilliantly as a vocabulary review at the end of a lesson.
Let shy children whisper the answer to you if they are nervous.

🔄 Variations

Time each child — who can guess in the shortest time?
Describe the object without saying the word — class guesses.
Use two bags — team race to identify the most objects.
