Teacher pulls mystery items from a bag one by one â children guess and repeat.

âĒ A cloth bag or pillowcase
âĒ 5-8 small objects or flashcards
ð How to Play
- Fill a bag with small objects or flashcards related to the lesson vocabulary.
- Tell children it is a magic bag â nobody knows what is inside!
- Slowly reach in and pull out one item dramatically.
- Hold it up and ask "What is it?"
- Children shout the answer â confirm and repeat together.
- Place the item to one side and continue with the next.
- After all items are revealed, put them back and let a child pull one out.
- Child must say the word before showing it to the class.

âBe dramatic when pulling items out â build suspense to keep children engaged.
âUse real objects where possible â they are more exciting than flashcards for this age.
âThis works brilliantly as a warm up to introduce new vocabulary.
âLet every child have a turn reaching into the bag.

âFeel and guess â children put their hand in without looking and guess by touch.
âWrong answer bag â teacher pretends to say wrong names and children correct them.
âCategories â only put in items from one category and children must name the category.
