  1. Place a bin or box at the front of the room as the basket.
  2. Divide the class into two teams.
  3. One child from each team comes to the front.
  4. Teacher asks a vocabulary question — both children race to answer.
  5. First child to answer correctly earns a shot at the basket.
  6. They take the shot from a set distance using a soft ball or paper ball.
  7. If they score — 2 points. If they answer correctly but miss the shot — 1 point.

💡 Teacher Tips

Use a wastepaper bin — it is perfect as a classroom basketball hoop.
Let children who are eliminated from other games referee this one.
Move the shooting line further back for harder questions — bigger reward for difficulty.
This game creates massive energy and engagement — save it for the end of the lesson.

🔄 Variations

Team answer — whole team discusses before sending one player to answer.
Use three difficulty levels — easy, medium, hard — each worth different points.
Play without the basket — just vocabulary questions with points for correct answers.
