â€Ē word order
â€Ē grammar from the lesson
â€Ē tenses

🛠 Materials

â€Ē Word cards (one word per card for each sentence)
â€Ē One set of cards per team

📋 How to Play

  1. Prepare sets of word cards — each set contains the words of one sentence scrambled.
  2. Example: cards might say "the / cat / sat / on / the / mat"
  3. Give one scrambled set to each team face down on the desk.
  4. On "GO!" teams flip their cards and race to arrange them into a correct sentence.
  5. First team to arrange their sentence correctly and read it aloud wins the round.
  6. Teacher checks the sentence is grammatically correct.
  7. Play 5-8 rounds with different sentences each time.
  8. Team with the most round wins at the end wins overall.

ðŸ’Ą Teacher Tips

✓Use sentences from the current lesson text or grammar point.
✓Include punctuation cards — full stop, question mark, comma.
✓Start with short sentences and increase length as teams improve.
✓This game is outstanding for reinforcing word order and sentence structure.

🔄 Variations

→Play individually — first student to arrange correctly wins.
→Include one extra wrong word — teams must identify and remove it.
→Use two sentences mixed together — teams must separate and arrange both.
