📋 How to Play

  1. Teacher starts a sentence with one word — "I"
  2. Write it on the board.
  3. First child adds one word — "I like"
  4. Next child adds another — "I like big"
  5. Continue around the class — "I like big red apples"
  6. Keep going until the sentence is complete or someone cannot add a word.
  7. Read the whole sentence together at the end.
  8. Start a new sentence with a different structure.

💡 Teacher Tips

Write each word on the board as it is added so children can see the sentence building.
Guide children gently if they add a grammatically incorrect word.
This game builds awareness of sentence structure naturally.
The sentences often become very funny — children love the results.

Story builder — each child adds a full sentence to build a story.
Teams compete to build the longest correct sentence.
