ð How to Play
- Give each child a paper with a 3x3 grid â 9 empty squares.
- Write 12-15 lesson vocabulary words on the board.
- Children choose any 9 words and write one in each square.
- Teacher reads a short story or describes a topic using those words naturally.
- Children cross out or circle each word when they hear it.
- First child to cross out a full row â horizontally, vertically or diagonally â shouts BINGO!
- Child reads back their words to verify.
- Play again with children choosing different words.

âPrepare your story in advance making sure all vocabulary words appear at least once.
âRead slowly and clearly â pause slightly on vocabulary words.
âThis combines listening, reading and writing in one activity.
âChildren who write the words themselves remember them better.
