Flashcard Slap
Two students race to slap the correct flashcard when teacher calls the word.

• A flat desk or floor space
📋 How to Play
- Lay 6-8 flashcards face up on the desk or floor.
- Two children stand on either side of the cards.
- Each child places one hand behind their back.
- Teacher calls a vocabulary word.
- Children race to SLAP the correct flashcard with their free hand.
- Whoever slaps it first wins a point.
- Play 5 rounds then swap in new players.
- The child with the most points at the end wins.
💡 Teacher Tips
✓Remind children to be gentle — no hitting each other, only the cards!
✓Use a maximum of 8 cards so children can see them all easily.
✓Increase difficulty by adding more cards as children improve.
✓Can be played on the floor for more space.
🔄 Variations
→Call the definition instead of the word — children must identify the correct card.
→Call a sentence with a gap — children slap the answer.
→Play in teams of two — teammates can consult before slapping.
