📚 Vocabulary
• any lesson vocabulary
• spelling
• questions and answers
🛠 Materials
• A soft ball or object as the "bomb"
• Timer (phone works best)
📋 How to Play
- Children sit in a circle.
- One child holds the "bomb" — a soft ball or object.
- Start a hidden timer — set it for a random time between 10-30 seconds.
- Children pass the bomb around the circle as fast as possible.
- When the timer goes off, whoever is holding the bomb must answer a question.
- Teacher asks a vocabulary question — "What is this?" or "Spell HAPPY."
- If they answer correctly, they stay in. If not, they sit out for one round.
- Keep playing — last child standing wins.
💡 Teacher Tips
✓Hide the timer so children cannot see how much time is left — this creates genuine excitement.
✓Adjust question difficulty to the individual child if possible.
✓Use a phone with a random timer app for best effect.
✓Keep eliminated children engaged by letting them help ask questions.
🔄 Variations
→The child holding the bomb must say a word from a category before passing.
→Play in teams — team members can help answer.
→Use multiple bombs at once for a more chaotic and fun version.
